A bold four-year plan for the future in LRSD

From January to June this year, learners, staff, parents/guardians and our board came together to talk about what we wanted to achieve over the next four years and how we could accomplish those goals.

To say I'm excited to share with you the culmination of myriad conversations, perspectives and aspirations for the future of the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) would be an understatement.

Our new LRSD Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) for 2019-2023 contains four strategic priorities we think are bold, inclusive and inspiring.

It will become evident that these priorities parallel the quadrants of the Circle of Courage, an Indigenous-inspired whole-learner framework for a holistic learning journey that incorporates the concepts of Belonging, Mastery, Independence and Generosity.

I encourage you to take a moment and explore this plan that all of us in the LRSD will use as our navigation system in classrooms, schools, community and board office throughout the next four years.

If you have any questions about what you read in our MYSP, I welcome the opportunity to discuss any part of it in further detail with you.

I thank you for taking a few moments to look at our plan that will help us continue to achieve learner success in LRSD.
