Welcome to the Louis Riel School Division’s Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) 2023-27 action pages. For each strategic action, we are diligently taking steps to achieve our goals. Together, these goals strive to create the best possible educational environment for students, staff, and community. On these pages, you will find answers to two key questions: What have we done so far? And where do we plan to be by 2027?

What have we done so far?

Federal Grant:

Applied for and received a federal grant from the French Second Language Revitalization Program.

Feasibility Study:

Hired consultants to conduct a study on a post-secondary program for French-speaking educational assistants to earn professional teaching certification.
Shared the findings with Division scolaire franco-manitobaine, Université de Saint-Boniface, and the Bureau de l'éducation française.

Where do we plan to be by 2027?

To achieve the goals set out in this strategic action, we aim to:

Launch a post-secondary program for French-speaking educational assistants in partnership with Université de Saint-Boniface and the Bureau de l'éducation française.
Collaborate with Université de Saint-Boniface to offer Grade 11 and 12 students the opportunity to obtain their Educational Assistant Diploma.
Host annual information evenings to engage and encourage high school students to pursue studies in the Faculty of Education.
Establish a formal system to track LRSD alumni’s post-secondary choices and trends.
Connect Indigenous Youth Leadership students with the CATEP program at The University of Winnipeg.
