3.6 Enhance Project-Based Learning
Welcome to the Louis Riel School Division’s Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) 2023-27 action pages. For each strategic action, we are diligently taking steps to achieve our goals. Together, these goals strive to create the best possible educational environment for students, staff, and community. On these pages, you will find answers to two key questions: What have we done so far? And where do we plan to be by 2027?
What have we done so far?
The Louis Riel School Division offers an extensive range of project-based learning, arts, and physical education programs from kindergarten to Grade 12. Technical vocational education is available from Grade 5 to 12, along with access to apprenticeship programs for high school and postsecondary students. Career Education is a priority in our high schools and at the Louis Riel Arts and Technology Centre, where students can explore My Blueprint and Career Canvas to enhance their transition into industry.

Where do we plan to be by 2027?
The Louis Riel School Division values hands-on, experiential, project-based learning and to that end has tendered a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking to take stock of its current assets and programs supporting this endeavor.
The RFP will provide a thorough understanding of current and future industry trends and support informed decision making about infrastructure investments.
