  • Spirit Week at ÉSCS

The ÉSCS “Spirit and Culture Committee” is thrilled to announce an upcoming event that promises to bring joy, enthusiasm, and a sense of community to ÉSCS.  The committee, in collaboration with some of our students, have organized a Spirit Week that will take place next week, from Monday December 18th until Friday December 22nd!  We want to thank the students for giving their suggestions related to the various themes. This Spirit Week provides an opportunity for our students to showcase their creativity, school spirit, and camaraderie through a series of themed days.  Our experiences shows that Spirit Weeks play a significant role in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. They create memorable experiences for our students while also contributing to a sense of belonging and school pride within our school community. The themes are as follows:

    • Monday, December 18th - Hat Day: Let's kick off the week by wearing our favorite hats! Whether it's a silly hat, a sports cap, or a festive headpiece, let's get creative and show off our unique styles.
    • Tuesday, December 19th - Sports Day: Wear the jersey or t-shirt of your favorite sports team. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to celebrate their love for sports and teamwork.
    • Wednesday, December 20th - Inside Out Day: Turn your clothes inside out for a day of whimsy and fun! Inside Out Day is all about embracing the unexpected and letting our personalities shine in a unique way.
    • Thursday, December 21st – Festive Wear and/or Mustache Day: Get into the holiday spirit by wearing your festive attire or add a playful touch with a mustache.
    • Friday, December 22nd - Pyjama Day: Wind down the week in comfort by wearing your favorite pajamas to school. It's a perfect way to celebrate the last day of school before the Winter Break.

Please note that we have put an effort to be mindful, when selecting the themes, to select themes where families are not forced to spend a lot of money, or time, to prepare elaborate costumes. Although we encourage everyone to participate, please note that all themes are optional.  Please mark your calendars, including the fact that the last day of school before the Winter Break is on Friday, December 22nd and that it is Early Dismissal on Friday, December 22nd.   Please also note that school resumes on Monday, January 8th aster the Winter Break!
