Program Outline 

Hours of Operation 

7:00 am – 8:20 am and 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm (on early dismissal days, the program will start at 2:00).

Please note that our Before and After School Care program is only offered on days when school is in session. It will not be offered on Professional Development days or on holidays.

The cost for our Before and After school program is $12.00 per child, per day. Costs are not subsidized by the government (as is the case for Rainbow Daycare and many other daycares). The cost covers staff salaries, resources, games, activities, supplies, as well as a snack for child(ren) in the afternoon. Post dated checks for each month for the school year will be requested to be submitted by June of prior school year.

Procedures 

• Morning: 

Parents must accompany their child to the multipurpose room/small gymnasium. A sign-in sheet will be used to monitor arrivals for safety and security. Children will be dismissed to their classrooms at 8:17 am

• Afternoon:

At 3:00 pm, students will go from their classroom to the small gymnasium to be checked in.

During the afternoon, students will do various activities and will be provided with a snack.

Children will be picked up by a parent or designate. When the parent arrives, the parent is requested to come to the multipurpose room/small gymnasium to sign the sign-out sheet. The person picking up your child must check them out with a Before and After School care worker.

If students are not picked up by 5:30 pm, there will be a surcharge to the family. ($5.00 per child per quarter hour; or any portion thereof). If lateness persists, we may ask you to make other arrangements for your child’s care.
