Attention girls interested in playing for the WPC female rugby team. We will be having a “Try Rugby” introductory practice to judge interest on Thursday, January 30th from 5:30-7pm in gym 1. Come with athletic wear and a water bottle. See Mr. Nuytten in room 10 with any questions.
Our Safe Grad committee is selling raffle tickets for Super Bowl LIX to fundraise for the grad celebration. You can purchase tickets in the office for $5 each, or reach out to the committee by email to make other arrangements to purchase at safegradwpc@gmail.com

ESSAY CONTEST The Essay Contest is sponsored by Optimist International to give young people the opportunity to write about their own opinions regarding the world in which they live. The approach can encompass a young person’s personal experience, the experience of their country or a more historical perspective. In addition to developing skills for written expression, participants also have the opportunity to win a college scholarship! One District Scholarship of $2,500
ORATORICAL CONTEST Beginning in 1928, the Oratorical Contest has become the longest-running program of Optimist International. The contest is designed for young people to gain experience in public speaking and provide them with an opportunity to compete for multiple college scholarships with a pre-assigned topic. District Scholarships: First Place: $2,500 • Second Place: $1,500 • Third Place: $1,000 with a chance to win up to $22,500 at the World Championships level. Optimist Information Meeting today @ 12:15pm in the Library.
As you know February is Black History Month, and we are looking for cultural items to be displayed in the locked case. These items (home goods, sculptures, memorabilia, instruments, clothing etc.) will be on display for all to see for the month of February and will be given back to you at the end of the month. If you or someone you know have anything you'd be ok to let us display, please bring them down to the art room by January 28th.
