The Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) is hiring for several vacancies: 

LRSD is seeking school principals who will actively support the strategic actions outlined in the Multi-Year Strategic Plan. These leaders will be crucial in fostering a school environment that aligns with the division’s long-term vision for student success and well-being.   

Ideal candidates will model professional integrity, adaptability, creativity, and enthusiasm for students and learning. They will serve as role models, demonstrating a commitment to continuous growth and inspiring staff and students to strive for excellence. 

Commitment and expertise in educational leadership are key qualities for LRSD principals. They must be prepared to provide strong leadership within a professional learning community, ensuring collaboration and innovation among staff. They will also be responsive to the diverse needs of students and the evolving challenges of modern education, preparing students to become engaged citizens in the 21st century. 

Additionally, LRSD principals will supervise teaching and non-teaching staff, manage all school operations, and foster a positive school profile within the community. They will collaborate effectively with the divisional administration to align school initiatives with broader divisional goals. 

Principals must also be dedicated to leading staff and community learning in anti-racist, anti-oppressive education. They will champion equity and inclusion, ensuring all students feel valued and represented. Furthermore, they will be committed to integrating Indigenous perspectives into teaching and learning, fostering a school culture that embraces reconciliation and cultural awareness.
