Weekly reminders for December 9-13th

Good afternoon École St. Germain families,

Please note our weekly reminders for the week of December 9-13th:

Win a chance to pie a staff member

During the week of December 9 to 17, we will be holding a fundraiser for our exciting Pie Contest! Students can purchase tickets to win a chance to pie a staff member in the face during the afternoon of December 19 (see attached for the big reveal). Tickets will be sold at the following prices: $2 for one ticket, $5 for three tickets, or $10 for fifteen tickets (cash only). Proceeds from the ticket sales will go toward supporting Harvest Manitoba. Don’t miss your chance to participate in this fun event and support our school community!

 Manitoba Harvest donations

Thank you to all the families who have already contributed to our Manitoba Harvest donation drive! Your generosity is helping to make a real difference for those in need, and it’s wonderful to see the display of hearts symbolizing each thoughtful gift in the attached picture.  For those who haven’t had a chance to donate yet, it’s not too late! We will be accepting donations for the remainder of next week, and we encourage everyone to participate if they can. Together, we can continue to spread kindness and support throughout our community.

 PAC - Domino's Pizza Fundraiser

Get ready for a delicious way to support our school! From December 9 - 15, order any of the awesome specials on the flyer, and Domino's will donate $5 to our school! It’s a win-win, great food and supporting a great cause. Check out the flyer for all the details!

 PAC - Next meeting - December 11, 2024

Please join us on December 11 at 7 PM in the school library for our next PAC meeting. Childcare will be provided.  If you are unable to come in person, please join us on Teams.  The Teams link will be available early next week.  Please email esgpac@gmail.com with any questions.

 Winter route parking ban

The City has announced the Annual Winter Route Parking Ban will start on Dec. 6.

 January Absences

Divisional literacy and numeracy assessments of students will be conducted throughout the month of January. If you are aware of any planned absences (ex. vacation, appointments) for your child, please let the office and the classroom teacher know so we can plan accordingly.

School cash – Milk tickets, fees and recorders

Our online payment system, School Cash, is accessible through the Parent Portal—the same portal where you accessed your child’s report card. This convenient system allows you to pay for various school-related fees, including lunch fees (if your child stays at school), school supply fees, and agendas. Additionally, you can now purchase 20 milk tickets online. For parents of Grade 3 students, we kindly ask that you use School Cash to pay for a recorder if your child requires a new one. This streamlined system makes it easy to manage all your school payments in one place.  We ask that all fees be paid by December 31, 2024. If you have any trouble with School Cash or need more time or financial support, please contact the administration at 204-254-0120. (https://www.lrsd.net/page/49782/how-to-schoolcash-online-fees)

 Have a great weekend!
