Please note our weekly reminders for the week of November 4-8th:
Cold weather
We ask parents to please make sure your child is dressed warmly for the cold weather. We want recesses to be an enjoyable break for our students. With enough warm winter gear, students will be able to stay outside for the whole recess.
Lunch supervisor needed
If you are interested in becoming a paid lunch supervisor (12:05-1:15pm), please contact the school at 204-254-0120.
Munch a lunch orders - Kindergarten to Grade 5
This is a reminder that Wednesday, November 6th is the last day to order munch lunch (Domino’s pizza) for the November 12th munch lunch date. You can register your child using the Munchalunch program. If you have any questions about ordering, please email at esg.hotlunch@gmail.com.
PAC - gift card fundraiser
ÉSG PAC is happy to announce that we are bringing back the Sobeys and Red River Co-op Grocery Gift Card Fundraiser for the 2024 holiday season! Remembrance Day
Friday, November 8th, we will have an assembly to help our students understand the significance of Remembrance Day. Also, starting on Monday, students will participate in the morning announcements by sharing reflections on what “peace” means to them, the history of the poppy and interesting facts related to Remembrance Day. Poppies will be distributed to all students prior to our assembly. All monetary donations will be donated to honor Canada's Veterans.
Student’s absences
If your child is late or away from school for any reason, please don’t forget to contact us. For safety reasons and with the goal of clear communication, each child’s absence must be justified (by a parent) for each day that your child will be absent (even in the case of consecutive days away). If communicating your child’s absence by email, we ask that you email both secretaries at lise.mckellar@lrsd.net, nicole.dusablon@lrsd.net
Free Bilingual Math night
A free bilingual math night is being held at the LRSD board office on Wednesday, Nov. 6th by Sarah Melo.
Sarah has partnered with Canadian Parents for French to present a Family Math Night to help students learn about math while interacting with clocks, money, measuring tapes and more. The event is recommended for families with children ages 5-10, but all are welcome!
