Dear Shamrock School Community,  

I would like to share an important update regarding the construction of the new French Immersion school in Sage Creek (355 boulevard des Hivernants). The project is progressing ahead of schedule, and the school is now set to open in September 2025. As a result, the current École Sage Creek School (315 Sage Creek Blvd.) will transition to a single-track Kindergarten to Grade 8 English Program school for students residing in Sage Creek. 

As part of this transition, students living in Sage Creek and currently attending Shamrock School will be reassigned to Sage Creek School for the 2025-2026 school year. Families residing in Sage Creek with children enrolled at Shamrock will receive an invitation to an information evening to be held Dec. 11. 

Shamrock School will continue to thrive as it serves approximately 300 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 in the 2025-2026 school year. 

The new French Immersion school in Sage Creek is expected to offer Middle Immersion (Grade 4 entry) and Late Immersion (Grade 6 entry) programs. These options are tailored to students in the English program who are interested in learning French. Both programs provide a supportive environment to build language skills and offer a pathway to French Immersion education. More information about these opportunities will be shared in the new year. 

Updates similar to this are being sent to families in other impacted school communities. A detailed description of school facilities and projected enrolments will be published in the coming weeks to keep all school communities informed.
