Principal's Log - Stars Date January 13th, 2025
Good morning and Happy New Year!
I hope you had a wonderful break, and your year is starting off well. My family wrapped 2024 up with a bad car accident (on the first day of Holidays) and the adoption of a little rescue puppy we named Sprout! So, our break was filled with lots of ups and downs – but we made it through!
This month is a busy one as our students and staff will be engaged in assessment activities aimed at both Literacy and Numeracy. The assessments take place during the school day and through the analysis of results and data we can continue to create, adapt, and focus instruction on the needs of our learners.
I want to take a moment to again thank our wonderful community for their generous support of so many things in December. Your assistance with Main Street Project, Hampers, our Winter Concert and Bake Sales was simply astounding. Our staff and students cannot thank you enough. We were able to provide such incredible donations to those in need and we are so happy to do so. So again – thank you. Next school year we are looking at staggering the requests a little more to make it potentially not such a huge ask during the same short time period. More information in the months ahead!
Have a fantastic day, be warm and be careful walking on the slippery streets and sidewalks!
