Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you had a great weekend despite the Jets and Bombers! Definitely not our weekend!  

This morning we conducted a Lockdown Drill to complete our training for all of our Emergency Control Measures (School Evacuation – October 9^th, 2024, Hold and Secure – November 5^th, 2024 and the Lockdown today). We have also completed 5 out of 10 Fire Drills.  We will complete the remaining 5 over the course of the coming weeks.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions regarding the procedures.

This week we are holding our Parent / Guardian – Teacher Meetings on Thursday from 3:30PM-7:30PM. Please book a conference using Conference Manager or contact the school if you are having difficulty creating a new account.  With the change over to a new Divisional system, all parents/guardians will need to create a new account.   Please remember, these first 10 minute conferences are just adults and do not include our students.  In Term 2 we commence with our Student – Led Conferences.  As well, Report Cards are scheduled to be accessible on the Parent Portal by end of school today.  Again, having switched to our new Divisional system, we are hoping there are no delays in accessing them.

Next week, from Monday to Thursday, Nordale School will be collecting monetary donations to support United Way. Students are invited to join the fun by participating in our daily events:

• Monday, November 25^th : Sports/Hat Day
• Tuesday, November 26^th : Pajama Day
• Wednesday, November 27^th : Wacky Hair and Sock Day
• Thursday, November 28^th : Dress to Impress Day
