The Annual School Building Dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of school buildings in the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) as of the beginning of the 2024-25 school year. It includes enrolment and capacity, capital projects funded both provincially and locally, accessibility amenities, playground equipment, and more. 

LRSD's Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) 2023-2027 outlines key priorities to support student success and well-being. A cornerstone of this plan is Strategic Action 4.1: Build safe, modern, and accessible spaces for learning and work in all schools and workplaces, both indoors and outdoors.  

We are constantly striving to improve our learning spaces. For some projects, we are able to allocate funds from our annual budget and move swiftly to carry out the work. For other projects, we must collaborate with and receive approval from the Government of Manitoba. The category each type of project falls into is governed by provincial law. For example, our local budget might be used to paint a classroom or replace an old carpet, while the building of major additions or new schools would require the Government of Manitoba's approval and extrabudgetary funding.
