ÉGM Students Striving for Mastery in International Math Contest

On May 15th, 55 of our grades 7 and 8 students chose to challenge themselves by participating in the Waterloo Gauss Math Contest. The competition is jointly organized by the University of Waterloo and the Canadian Mathematics and Computer Education Center (CEMC) and is one of the most recognized math competitions in Canada.  The goal of the contest is for students to have fun and improve their ability to solve mathematical problems.

Congratulations to our two grade 8 students who achieved the highest result at École George McDowell – India Friesen and Reed Passmore! As well as our grade 7 top performer – Ahsan Mirza!
