Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week 2024
Acting Education Minister Tracy Schmidt has proclaimed Nov. 10 to 16 as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week. This annual initiative encourages all members of our school communities to engage in conversations, activities, and personal reflection to recognize, understand, and actively prevent bullying in all its forms.
The Louis Riel School Division (LRSD) is committed to creating safe and inclusive environments where every student feels valued, and each one of us reaches our full potential. Bullying can take many forms—including physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying—and has lasting impacts on the well-being of everyone involved. Raising awareness and fostering prevention are critical steps toward ensuring a supportive and respectful learning environment for all.
Bullying prevention is a collective effort. In LRSD, we believe that students, families, teachers, administrators, and community members all play a role in building a safe, supportive, and kind learning environment. When we work together, we create a culture that doesn't tolerate bullying and that champions acceptance and mutual respect.
