Welcome to the École Julie-Riel Parent Advisory Council (PAC) 

What is the PAC?

The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is a group of dedicated parents, guardians, and school staff who work together to support the success and well-being of École Julie-Riel students. 

The PAC supports the school and our community by organizing events and fundraisers and providing a voice for parents in decision-making processes. We believe that when families, teachers, and staff work together, we can create the best possible educational experience for our children.

How the PAC Supports the School

The PAC collaborates with the school to:

●    Raise funds for educational programs, technology, equipment, extracurricular activities, scholarships, and special projects.

●    Organize school-wide events, such as family fun nights, fun lunch, and the holiday shop.

Every year, we organize:

●    School dance

●    Games nights

●    Festival du Voyageur activities

●    Family picnic

●    Farewell for grade 5 students

●    Staff appreciation

●    Scholarship for a student graduating from Collège Jeanne-Sauvé who previously attended École Julie-Riel

●    and a handful of supporting fundraisers to help us host community events

How You Can Get Involved

●    Attend PAC Meetings: Our monthly meetings are open to all parents and provide an opportunity to hear about school updates, voice your ideas, and connect with other parents.

●    Volunteer: Help organize school events and fundraisers. Even an hour of your time can make a big impact!

●    Stay Informed: Keep up with PAC news and announcements through the school newsletter or updates posted here on our website.

●    Fundraising: Join us in supporting the school by participating in or leading fundraising efforts that benefit students and classrooms.

PAC Meetings

Our PAC meetings are held monthly on early dismissal Tuesdays at 6:30 PM in the school library. These meetings are a great way to stay informed and engaged with what’s happening at the school. You’ll have the opportunity to share your thoughts, ask questions, and be part of events and important conversations.
