Grades 4/5 Regular Immersion and 5/6 Middle Immersion trip to Cinémental

On our recent trip to the French film festival, Cinémental, students from Grades 4/5 Regular Immersion and 5/6 Middle Immersion had an unforgettable experience. We visited Landmark Cinemas for a special screening of Kina and Yuk, a live-action film following the adventures of two arctic foxes in the Yukon. This screening was particularly exciting as the film had not yet been released on DVD!
Our students were captivated by the film’s blend of adventure and stunning Canadian landscapes. Not only did Kina and Yuk spark excitement for storytelling and nature, but it also expanded students' appreciation for the French language as a key part of Canada’s cultural tapestry.
And of course, one of the highlights was the reclining seats in the theatre—a delightful treat that added to the day’s enjoyment.
All in all, it was a successful trip that deepened our students’ connections to both the French language and the beauty of our Canadian wilderness.
