Happy New Year! 

We would both like to say that we are very excited to begin our new roles at MAG.  Joy Perrott has moved from vice-principal to principal here at MAG, and we have welcomed Aimée Vandale as vice-principal.

News from the PAC: 

Next meeting will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 6:30 in the library. All caregivers and parents are welcome to join us!  

School Fees: A reminder that school fees are due on or before January 15.  Please pay using the School Cash app. We will now also be processing all field trip payments through School Cash.  

Illness: The return from the break has seen an outbreak of an unidentified stomach bug going through the school.  We are taking extra precautions with additional sanitization, and we are continuing to remind students about handwashing. While we want to have students at school, if they are unwell with fever or nausea, please keep them at home until the symptoms have passed in order to reduce the exposure to others. If their symptoms worsen, they should be seen by a doctor. The WRHA has been made aware, and these are their recommendations. 

Concerts: We have both a Grade 7/8 Band concert and a Gr. K-6 Winter Concert coming up in the last week of January.   The winter concert will have an afternoon concert and an evening concert.  Due to limited space, we will be sending out a form asking you to indicate which performance you would like to attend, as well as the number of tickets required.  We encourage those who are able to attend the afternoon concert to do so, as it always has fewer attendees, and we need to ensure we can adhere to our fire code and safety. 

Tickets will be sent out prior to the concert date and are required for entry to the concert.
