In the Louis Riel School Division (LRSD), we are proud to offer full-day, every-day kindergarten for our youngest learners. Kindergarten in LRSD offers a strong foundation for lifelong learning by providing enriched learning experiences that foster social, emotional, and academic growth. This initiative reflects our commitment to nurturing confident and capable learners from the very start of their educational journey. 

Kindergarten registration in LRSD will begin on Tuesday, February 18 and close on Friday, March 28. To register online or obtain a kindergarten registration form, please visit lrsd.link/Kindergarten or contact your catchment area school.  

When registering, parents/guardians will need to provide a birth certificate or medical card, to verify the child's age.  

Parents/guardians with children turning five on or before December 31, 2025, are invited to attend a Kindergarten Information Night to learn more about how our staff will support their child (or children) in early learning.  

Each of LRSD's elementary schools will be hosting a Kindergarten Information Night:   

• English Schools: Monday, February 10 at 6 p.m.  
• French Immersion Schools: Thursday, February 13 at 6 p.m.  

Parents/guardians can register for both the French Immersion and English Info Night in their school catchment. To register, please call your catchment school.   

Families whose catchment school is the new school in Sage Creek Bonavista (see map below) can submit their applications online or drop off paper applications at École Sage Creek School, located at 315 Sage Creek Blvd, Winnipeg, MB R3X 0G4. More details can be found here.
