Tom joined the LRSD Board of Trustees in 2002 with a wealth of knowledge about the public education system following a long career in the St. Boniface School Division. During his time in LRSD’s legacy division, he was an elementary school teacher, a physical education supervisor and held the position as principal at Beliveau Junior High, Pierre Radisson Collegiate, Radisson Collegiate and Windsor Park Collegiate. He also served on the St. Boniface School Division’s Board of Trustees. 

After retiring, Tom's desire to improve educational opportunities for students remained strong. Tom spent his time on the Board showcasing his desire for building a successful and positive learning environment by supporting student citizenship, engagement, and literacy/numeracy.
